Project description:RAPID project is a large scale oil refining and chemical industry integration project, which is based on meeting the growing demand of refined oil and chemical raw materials in Southeast Asia. The project is located in Goran Town, Kottin County, Johor, Malaysia. The owner is a subsidiary of the Malaysian National Oil Company (PETRONAS) PRPC Company, with an area of about 26 million square meters. The total investment is estimated to reach 60 billion RM (approximately 100 billion yuan). The project mainly includes refinery with refining capacity of 15 million tons a year and comprehensive petrochemical plant with annual output of 3 million tons, and other auxiliary facilities such as waste heat power plant, LNG revaporizing unit and waste water treatment. The Sinopec refining and chemical engineering project has built up an atmospheric distillation unit of 15 million tons a year, a residual oil hydrogenation unit of 880 million tons a year, a hydrogen collection and distribution device, and a fuel oil system.

Project performance:our company has provided the safety valve solution and has over 300 accumulated supplies, and is currently in production.

Project Description:ATYRAU REFINERY is located at No. 1, Govorovava Street, Atyrau City, Atyrau State, Kazakhstan, wholly owned byKazMunayGas, which ran in 1945. Its crude oil comes from the field of Tengiz Oilfield in Kazakhstan. The annual output of refinery design is 4. 9 million tons and the oil refining depth is 62 %.  It is one of the three big refineries (Pavlodar refinery, Chimkente refinery, Atyrau refinery) in Kazakhstan. The crude oil processing equipment owned by the Atyrau refinery includes catalytic reforming units, delayed coking equipment, coke burning equipment, etc.  
The government attaches great importance to the development of downstream oil refining operations, and the project of upgrading and transformation for the Atyraurefinery will make it an important base for processing crude oil and light oil. The project is one of the national key projects of the Government's Industrial Strategic Development Plan in 2010-2014 and the Six-Year Plan for Integrated Development of Petroleum Refining and Petrochemical Works. The project contract amount is about 1.68 billion $ and is mainly used in the catalytic cracking technology of US(Stone &  webster)comany and the patented AXENS technology in France. The FEED is designed by the Russian OMSK Design Institute. The project includes 17 sets of equipment and their supporting system, such as newly-built catalytic units (R2R) of 2. 5 million tons a year, gasoline hydrogenation unit, diesel hydrogenation unit, isomerization unit, hydrogen production unit, etc. and its supporting system, including storage and transportation tank area, system pipe network and whole plant transportation and communication. Sinopec Engineering (Group) Co., Ltd.(SEG) has built the plant's aromatic unit and crude oil processing unit.

The site is located in Corpus Christi, Texas, USA. The project includes an annual output of 1. 3 million tons of PTA plants, an annual output of 1.1 million tons of PET plants, as well as supporting public works and auxiliary facilities." Jum bo " have the meaning of " giant " in English, which is a word pun. After the project is completed, it will become the largest petrochemical industrial park in North America. Sinopec Engineering Group (SEG) is an EPC Contractor.
